Getting your measurements correct may seem daunting however please don't worry as we have created a simple guide below and our Hire Team are on hand to assist you. If you have placed your order in store, you and any of your hire party can get measured for free within the store by our team. However for those who can not make it to our store or placing their orders online, just follow the guide and you will be fine.
*Please use a fashion measuring tape and not a builders tape as these wont be accurate*
Trouser Outline for measurments guide at South Wales Suit Hire  Trousers: Measurements Required
Waist: The waist measurement for the trousers should be a firm measurement, taken from approximately 1" above the hip bone.
Inside Leg: You should measure right from the top of the inner seam (where the two leg seams meet) down to the top of the heel (where the heel meets the sole of the shoe).

Chest: Place the measuring tape around the largest part of the chest and take a loose measurement, sizes are in 2" increments.
Fitting/Arm: If you are unsure of the fitting/arm of the jacket you should take the Crown to Cuff measurement ( Top of the shoulder to just below the wrist bone).

Shirts: Measurements Required

Collar:
Placing the measuring tape around the neck, with the wearer holding 1 finger between the neck and tape. Collar sizes are 0.5" increments.

Kilts: Measurements Required
Waist:
Have the tape around the waist and ask the wearer to breath out (people instinctively breath in!). Please be aware a kilt will sit much differently to trousers and much higher. Our kilts do have a certain amount of adjustment in the buckles, and we recommend you size up if the wearer is between sizes. Kilts size in 2" increments from 18" to 50" waists.
Kilt Length: The measurement should be taken from the navel to the middle of the knee. The wearer needs to kneel on the ground and their back up straight. Measure from the navel to the floor. Likely kilt lengths are 22,23,24,25,26 inches but not set in stone.

Top Hat: Measurements Required

Circumference:
The measurement should be taken from just above the ears, around the largest part of the head. Hat measurements are measured in centimetre's and converted using the chart below.
